Recently, we lived an unforgettable day in the Ibéricos Torreón family! We met at an exciting convention in which, together with workers and their loved ones, we gathered to celebrate the evolution of our company and strengthen ties. This event, which brought together more than 100 people, was a true reflection of the passion and dedication we share at Ibéricos Torreón.
The convention began with a warm welcome, where we received our workers and their families. It was a unique opportunity for our employees to show their loved ones their workplace and explain in detail what their daily work entails. In groups, they took a tour of the factory, which was not only educational, but also allowed their children and family members to better understand the fundamental role that each and every worker plays in our company.
Iberian creativity came to light in an exciting sandwich making contest that we organized. The little ones became true chefs and demonstrated their ingenuity when it came to combining the delicious Iberian products from Torreón. It was a fun and delicious contest that everyone enjoyed.
Afterwards, we gathered around a large paella prepared with care. Accompanied by a skilled ham cutter and a selection of our exquisite Iberian sausages , we enjoyed a feast that filled our hearts and our stomachs. We couldn't have had a more authentic and delicious meal.
Furthermore, this event has been the perfect setting to highlight the careers of two very special workers who are retiring this year : Diego Sánchez and Amparo Carrera. They have been a fundamental part of the development of our activity since Ibéricos Torreón was founded.
The excitement reached its peak when María Jesús García, our general director, spoke. In a gesture of recognition and gratitude, he awarded Tomás González the Best Worker of the Year Award , an award granted by the Management; and Michel de Vargas the Best Colleague Award, an award that was voted for by all employees. These awards represent the dedication and team spirit that are fundamental at Ibéricos Torreón.
Like last year, we also recognized the trajectory of the workers who this year 2023 will celebrate 10, 20 and 30 years working at Ibéricos Torreón.
In short, this convention was an exciting and beautiful day that aimed to unite ties and row together in the same direction. We feel lucky to have such a passionate and dedicated team at Ibéricos Torreón, and we look forward to more memorable moments like this in the future.
