Torreón Internacional: las paradas más sabrosas en las ferias gastronómicas internacionales

Torreón Internacional: The tastiest stops at international food fairs

At Ibéricos Torreón, we proudly bear the fact that our roots are in Salamanca, but at the same time, we know that our flavors can reach as far and wide as time and desire allow. That's why participating in international fairs is much more than a commercial activity: it's a way to tell our story, share our passion, and strengthen ties with those who value quality and authentic flavor, wherever they may be.

In this context, we take this opportunity to share details about three of the meeting points that mark the international team's calendar, led with passion and strategy by Laura García, Export Director of Ibéricos Torreón.

Milan, flavor and tradition at Tutto Food

This year we took another step forward in Italy by participating for the first time as exhibitors at Tutto Food Milan, a trade fair that's becoming increasingly important. Although we've been visiting it for years as industry professionals, this time we decided to bring our ham and cured meats so they could be the stars... and we've proven that the decision was a great one.

Italy is a market we know well. We've been working there for years with distributors and agents who have successfully positioned our products in delicatessens, gourmet shops, and restaurants. And although they are masters of prosciutto, they never cease to surprise us with their appreciation for our 100% Iberian ham , our Iberian coppa, Iberian pastrami, and, of course, Iberian chorizo , which they value so much. Italians are demanding consumers, yes. But they are also generous in their appreciation when something moves them.

SIAL Shanghai: the Iberian flavor that crosses continents

China is a different story. A story that began in 2008, when we became one of the first Spanish companies authorized to export there. Since then, we've invested heavily in this market: promotions, commercial activities, and, of course, a continuous presence at SIAL Shanghai , one of Asia's largest food fairs.

Every year, we rely on our leading importer, with whom we have had a solid partnership for eight years. They represent our brand at the fair and help us welcome distributors, HORECA buyers, specialty stores, and even e-commerce platforms, which are experiencing impressive growth in China.

There, Iberian products are consumed in a wide variety of formats: bone-in ham, sliced, cured meats, and always with a growing interest in the story behind each product. They're not just interested in what they're eating, but also in how it's produced, how it's cured, and who signs it.

Anuga, Cologne, awaits us

And as expected, we'll be returning to Anuga in Cologne in October . This biannual trade fair isn't just the most important in Europe: it's one of the world's great temples of the agri-food sector. A must-attend event.

At Anuga, as in Milan or at the Paris fair, the map opens up. We meet clients from all over the world: French, German, Scandinavian, Latin American, Asian... All in search of products with soul, flavor, and history. There, between meetings, very good relationships for the future are forged. Because a fair doesn't end when the stand closes: it's a beginning, where new opportunities, new ideas, and promotions open up.

Every fair we attend is a perfect excuse to listen, to learn, and to continue bringing the best of our pastures to the world. Behind every slice served in Milan, Shanghai, or Cologne, there are years of work, respect for tradition, and a vision for the future.

And we'll continue. Crossing borders, building relationships, and always trying to ensure there's a little bit of Torreón and Salamanca on tables around the world.
