Products derived from the Iberian pig are part of what is known today as the "Mediterranean Diet" .

Regarding vitamins , all the products derived from the Iberian pig have a high content of group B vitamins, especially B1, B3 and B12, essential for energy metabolism, functioning of the nervous and immune systems, while reducing the tiredness and fatigue and contribute to normal psychological function and red blood cell formation
Finally, it should be noted that all Iberian pig products have a high mineral content such as phosphorus, selenium and zinc, and are a source of iron and potassium. On many occasions these minerals are difficult to find in other foods.
