Many of you plan to serve Iberian ham at the different Christmas events that are coming up these days. And it is not for less, the ham , the loin and the great diversity of Iberian sausages that we have in our country are very important elements in all parties.
They are easy to prepare, they are comfortable to eat, they are fine and elegant and, of course, they are exquisite .
We know that at this time one of the biggest headaches is how to present them on the table so that they shine in all their splendor and in line with the typical Christmas decoration.
If you are interested in this aspect, think that you already have the main necessary ingredient at home, good IBERIAN PRODUCTS . If you haven't bought it yet, take advantage of the last discounts of the year at Ibéricos Torreón .
And for the rest, we are going to tell you some tricks, tips and suggestions.
1. To present your selection of Iberian products you can use a wooden board as a base, you have them classic, round or rectangular; or there are also very original shapes. Take care that it is quality wood and that it is completely clean, better if you do not cut directly on it. Slate tables is another option that gives a lot of play.
When you select the Iberian products that you are going to offer, do not miss out on those that everyone usually likes, such as ham, loin, chorizo and/or salchichón; but you can combine it with something more original, such as the cup, the fuet, the morcón and even the blood sausage.
By the way, cheese is also a food that we always like to find in a good table of Iberian products.
You may be thinking that you had the idea of using a plate or a source . Well, in this case we recommend that it be as flat as possible, and in neutral colors, preferably black, white or grayscale. It is the way to ensure that the beautiful colors and tones of the Iberian products stand out.
2. To place the different Iberian products, these days, take a risk. Get out of the usual concentric circles or lines without more; Play a little with the attractive shapes and colors that the Ibericos have to make elegant and eye-catching presentations at the same time. Distribute them in an original way.
3. To combine , it is unavoidable, first it offers a good selection of breads , breadsticks, picos, donuts, scolds... there is a wide variety on the market. However, you should not stop there, we suggest that you also include nuts . And if they have an exotic touch, all the better.
In the table that you have on these lines we have put Iberian tenderloin , Iberian black pudding , Iberian fuet and spicy Iberian chorizo . As you can see, in very good company.
We know that the typical thing at these parties is also the spun egg, but perhaps you can leave that for another type of cold cut. What do you think if this time you use fresh fruit? The presentation will be spectacular if you intersperse varieties of fresh fruit , with grapes, figs, blueberries and other red fruits, which will help to give this differentiating touch.
4. If you prefer to serve the Iberian ham separately . Some people include Iberian ham on the same table or plate as the rest of the Iberian ham. However, many others prefer to give it its own space and serve it separately.
If you are from the second group, perhaps you buy the whole Iberian ham and cut it yourself or perhaps you resort to the convenience and quality of sliced sachets . In either case, we'll tell you things...
Remember that we have a great ham cutting tutorial that you can download or consult at any time (we leave you the free application form at the end of the post) , where you will also find tips for plating.
When you opt for sliced envelopes, leave them at room temperature for an hour or two. Keep in mind that, to consume it, the ideal is for it to be between 20 or 25ºC and it is better that they reach them little by little and naturally. But if you haven't had time, you can apply lukewarm water on the still closed package for 2 or 3 minutes before opening it.
Thus, not only do you get the ideal temperature for consumption, the juiciness and aroma typical of a freshly cut product , but you can also separate the slices without problems and place them strategically on the plate for a good plating.
At a Christmas table, the typical decorations are not usually missing. In this case, next to your table of Iberian hams, some fine fir branches, pine cones and other natural elements that evoke, with their attractiveness and aroma, the origin of our fabulous Iberian hams, loins and sausages will be luxurious.
