Ibéricos Torreón shines at the 37th Edition of the Salón Gourmets 2024

We are pleased to share the resounding success of Ibéricos Torreón at the 37th edition of the Salón Gourmets, the most exclusive event in Europe dedicated to high-end products. This annual event, aimed at professionals in the restaurant, food and retail sectors, brings together the most prestigious brands on the international gastronomic scene.

Over the four days, our stand has been a hive of activity, attracting more than 1,100 visitors who have been able to taste and enjoy our exquisite innovations and traditional products. This year, the big news has been the launch of Pastrami Ibérico , a true revolution in the market: the first pastrami made with Iberian pork. The reception has been extraordinary, and it is now available in numerous hospitality establishments throughout Spain and Europe.

One of the most notable and admired moments at the stand was the presence of our master carver, José Luis Hernández , who demonstrated his skill by cutting 5 Iberian hams during the fair, including a real gem: the100% Iberian Bellota Ham from the 2018 vintage, cured for more than 6 years.

In addition, our head chef, Javier Fuentes , delighted the attendees with a live showcooking performance, preparing a variety of tapas that highlighted the quality and versatility of our products. Who could resist? We offered a tasting of delicacies such as:

  • Bread sheet with Iberian jowl from Torreón and tamarillo chutney sauce.
  • Bread regaña with Coppa de bellota Torreón, accompanied by two pesto and cottage cheese sauces.
  • Iberian Pastrami Sandwich from Torreón with Idiazabal cheese, pickled gherkins and black garlic sauce.
  • Torreón burger with cheese and bull sauce.
  • Salami tartar with truffle mayonnaise and pickled onion.

Not only have we presented our new products, but we have also offered our traditional sausages such as Lomo, Coppa and Fuet ibéricos, always accompanied by Obando's breadsticks, our unconditional collaborator for the last 3 years.
