In a sector traditionally dominated by men, Ibéricos Torreón has managed to forge its own path with a unique characteristic: our essence has a woman's name. Behind every piece of ham, every strategic decision, and every achievement, there is a team led by women who represent the soul, passion, and excellence of our brand.
Since our beginnings, we have been a family business that has maintained tradition while embracing innovation. Generoso García founded Ibéricos Torreón more than 40 years ago, after learning the trade from Bernardo Hernández, grandfather of Chus and Laura García, the General Manager and Export Director, respectively, who currently lead the company. His vision has been key to consolidating the brand in Spain and international markets and ensuring that our Iberian essence transcends borders.
As they've emphasized in various interviews, it hasn't been an easy path for them, but they haven't felt that the specifics of the sector were an insurmountable barrier either. "Running a business depends on skills and training, not gender," says Chus García. And that philosophy has permeated every corner of the company, where women hold key positions in all areas. Therefore, the leadership of these two women has not been defined by their gender, but by their training, their management skills, and their passion for the sector.

Female talent in every department
Ibéricos Torreón is not only a women-led company, but its structure boasts a strong female presence in all departments. From production to quality management, including administration and maintenance, many women contribute to the company's success with their daily efforts.

Torreón has a workforce where women play a key role in various areas. In addition to Chus and Laura at the top of the board, Marta Blázquez García, the fourth generation of the family, leads the Production Department, ensuring that every piece of Iberian pork that leaves Torreón maintains the standards of quality and craftsmanship that have made the brand a benchmark.
The quality team is also led by women like Bienve , Head of Quality, and Pilar , a technician in the same department, who ensure that every piece of Iberian ham that leaves our facilities meets the highest standards.
Andrea , recently incorporated into the Export Department, helps ensure that Torreón Iberian products reach markets around the world, ensuring that each product meets international demands.
Carmen Arganda is the female face of the administration department. Another Carmen, López, is involved in reservations and visits for new brand experiences, such as the Torreón Ibérico Experience (TEX).
Talent also shines in production and maintenance. Almudena, Elisa, and Mercedes work on the production of Iberian products with the mastery that characterizes the house; while Ángela and Araceli are part of the cleaning team, ensuring that the machinery and manufacturing processes operate efficiently and comply with appropriate health standards.
Each of them contributes fundamental value to the company, demonstrating day after day that the Iberian sector also has a female face.

A business model with a future
Chus and Laura have not only kept their father's legacy alive, but have paved the way for the next generation. With Marta Blázquez as Production Director and Carlos Blázquez as Business Development Director, tradition and innovation go hand in hand at Ibéricos Torreón, with a structure where talent is not based on gender, but rather on passion and commitment.
In a sector still dominated by men, Ibéricos Torreón is an example that female leadership is not only possible, but synonymous with success. Because behind every ham, every cured meat, and every strategic decision, there is also a team of professional women who put their heart and soul into what they do. And that, without a doubt, makes the difference.
